Job Description

Job Title: Digital Lab Email Specialist
Location: Mettawa, IL 60045 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Duration: Through the end of the calendar year (Possible Extension)
 
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Digital Lab Email Specialist to support the Patient Services CRM Digital Lab team. This role focuses on building and assembling email communications that support the patient journey across multiple therapeutic areas.
You will not be responsible for writing original content or deploying emails. Instead, you will work with pre-approved content and assets to build, test, and route emails for approval in a highly regulated environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and modify email content using a modular email platform (e.g., Knak)
  • Assemble emails using existing templates, modules, and agency-provided assets
  • Collaborate with project managers, marketing teams, and creative agencies
  • Route emails through the Material Review Process (MLR) for approval
  • Perform detailed QA, proofreading, and functional testing before handoff
  • Maintain and organize email inventory (templates, modules, images, assets)
  • Partner with creative teams for updates to design files when needed
  • Support dynamic content and personalization efforts in collaboration with marketing automation teams
  • Troubleshoot email build issues and provide advisory support when needed
  • Identify and recommend improvements to tools, templates, and workflows
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in email marketing or related field.
  • Experience building or assembling emails using platforms like Knak or similar tools
  • Strong attention to detail with QA and proofreading experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. High emotional intelligence and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with tools such as: Knak (highly preferred), Figma, Photoshop, Marketo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (nice to have, not required).
  • Familiarity with Material Review/approval processes (MLR or similar).
  • Experience in regulated industries (preferred, not required).
