Duration: 11+ Months
Location: Columbia SC (Onsite every day and preferred location is Columbia. Will look at candidates that can sit onsite in Dallas or PA locations)

Job Requirements:
Required Work Experience: 5 years technical writing and/or technical process standards development experience.
Required Experience:
Required EDU: Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, English, Journalism or other job related field or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, Journalism or other job related degree
Required Software and Tools (Hands on experience required): High level skills with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Visible Thread, SharePoint and Beyond Compare Pro.
Nice to have/Preferred skills: Intermediate skills with MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, Project and Visio

Job Summary:
Duties/About the role:
- Elicits, analyzes, validates, edits, and revises business requirements to be included in technical documentation, such as user manuals, installation manuals, help documents, and tutorials. Ensure that documents follow the style laid out in the corporate style guide. Reviews documentation for organization, content, technical accuracy, and style.
- 40% Analyzes and updates technical documentation and information, while ensuring consistency and availability to all employees and management. Suggests revisions and work with senior management to provide adequate process improvement modifications to existing standards. Creates materials for process improvement presentations, which may include prototypes, test matrices, training documents, and process design documentation.
- 25% Creates, formats, and maintains information on the IS intranet portal. Ensure content is kept up-to-date with a regular review cycle. Formats new content to adhere to IS intranet portal standards and ensure the information follows the corporate style guide. Gathers and analyze organizational information and update Hierarchical Matrix, Organizational Chart, and Client Diagram as necessary.
- 15% Consults with technical operations staff in gathering, reviewing, and researching the needs of the organization for each assignment.
- 15% Analyzes submitted System Master Index information for usefulness, missing information, and existing content, and maintain master database to include annual content reviews.
- 5% Assists Design Architects with presentation designs and formats across multiple platforms.
Day to Day:
- Reviews, edits, and develops proposal response content for federal, state, and commercial solicitations, including cover letters, resumes, past performance, and technical and business volumes. Ensures all content complies with the CDS Writing Style Guide, corporate style guide, and solicitation requirements by validating technical terminology, organizational names, and acronyms.
- Serves as the owner of the technical editing process, ensuring proposal content is grammatically correct, complete, compliant, responsive, and highly customer centric for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, task orders, and related corporate initiatives. Applies advanced editorial judgment to identify gaps, risks, and weaknesses; recommends strategic content improvements; and collaborates with senior leadership and cross functional teams to strengthen proposal quality and competitiveness. Performs additional duties as assigned. Creates, formats, and maintains proposal and corporate content on the team SharePoint site, ensuring accuracy through regular review cycles. Formats new and existing materials to align with corporate branding standards and updates organizational data and solicitation specific organizational charts as required.
- Acts as a key liaison with technical subject matter experts, operations, and contracts personnel to gather, synthesize, review, and refine content supporting proposal responses and corporate reporting. Provides senior level editorial guidance to ensure content is compliant, concise, compelling, and aligned with customer priorities.

- Ability to work effectively on several projects simultaneously, independently from general guidance, and with groups.
- Thorough knowledge of documentation security processes.
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including: management, highly-skilled technical staff, non-technical personnel, and senior management.
- Ability to efficiently handle stressful situations and short notice assignments.
