Job Title: Program Manager III (Technology Operations & AI Automation)
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Remote (U.S. – CA)
Overview
We are seeking a Technology Operations & AI Automation Program Manager to support a portfolio of emerging technology initiatives within a hardware engineering environment.
This role will focus on managing end-to-end operational processes and transforming manual workflows into AI-driven, automated systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, business operations, and finance to improve efficiency and scalability across innovation programs.
Key Responsibilities
? Operations & Program Management
- Manage operational processes for a portfolio of 15–20 active technology projects
- Track progress, milestones, and stakeholder updates
- Build and maintain executive dashboards and reporting structures
- Document and optimize workflows for scalability
? AI & Automation
- Design and implement AI-powered automation pipelines
- Replace manual processes (reporting, tracking, reconciliation) with automated solutions
- Build and optimize workflows using AI/LLM tools
? Data & Systems
- Consolidate data from multiple sources (spreadsheets, databases, presentations, etc.)
- Establish a centralized data system as a single source of truth
- Design data flows from intake to reporting (dashboards, automated outputs)
? Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, product, and business teams
- Drive adoption of new processes and tools across teams
- Present insights and updates to leadership
? Insights & Reporting
- Deliver data-driven insights on:
- Portfolio health
- Resource allocation
- Technology success metrics
- Operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Program Management
- Product or Engineering Operations
- Technology Operations (preferably in hardware or R&D environments)
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools (e.g., AI workflows, automation, agents)
- Experience designing data workflows and systems (intake → processing → reporting)
- Strong ability to drive process adoption across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and own end-to-end operational processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with innovation lifecycle frameworks (e.g., stage-gate, NPI, technology readiness)
- Background in hardware, AR/VR, wearable devices, or consumer electronics
- Experience with:
- AI platforms / automation tools
- No-code/low-code tools (e.g., Airtable, AppSheet)
- Portfolio management or large-scale program operations
- Familiarity with data reporting, dashboards, and forecasting
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with AI / LLM-based automation
- Background in product or engineering operations
- Experience working with innovation or technology development processes
