Job Description
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Contractor), you will be a senior individual contributor responsible for building and supporting Power BI and Tableau reporting products using data prepared and curated on Azure Databricks. You’ll work closely with partners to translate reporting needs into scalable solutions, with strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership.
This role aligns to the Business Intelligence job family, which focuses on developing dashboards/scorecards and ensuring high-quality data and consistent metrics across the organization.

- Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities – work with a lead from the team, execute on different projects, working on the data project, building dashboards, work to execute on different projects like building those data products and they'll have like a lead to
- How much time is being spent in meetings – low amount

- Will the contractor have access to any customer data? YES!!!

Accountabilities
- Design & deliver reporting products: Build and enhance Power BI and Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and standardized reporting experiences that support business needs
- Data-to-visualization ownership: Use Databricks to query/validate datasets and ensure the BI outputs are accurate, reliable, and performant
- Metric alignment & quality: Drive clarity and consistency of KPI definitions and ensure data quality and reporting integrity across stakeholders
- Stakeholder partnership: Translate requirements into actionable insights and communicate clearly using audience-appropriate visuals and storytelling
- Operate with ownership and accountability: Manage deliverables end-to-end (requirements → build → testing → release/support), proactively identifying risks and resolving issues
- Be a team player: Collaborate effectively, share best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of BI standards and delivery
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics roles
- Strong experience working with Azure Databricks, including SQL and PySpark (working with large datasets; querying/transforming/validating data for reporting use cases)
- Advanced expertise in Power BI (dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, with strong quality control practices
- Proven ownership and accountability for delivering outcomes in a collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player
- Experience with dimensional modeling / semantic models for BI.
- Experience supporting enterprise dashboards and shared KPI definitions across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Wealth management reporting exposure.
- Dashboards and scorecards are trusted, well-documented, and aligned to consistent metric definitions across partners.
- Reporting is reliable and scalable, with strong attention to detail and fewer defects/issues reaching users.
- Stakeholders adopt the reporting products because they are intuitive, timely, and decision-ready.
Candidate profile details:
- Degree/Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent – hands on, coding
- Certifications Required: N/A
- Years of Overall Experience: 8-10 yrs
- How will performance be measured: Deliverables, quality of work, meeting deadlines,
- Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background: coding, great work ethic, mature QA/QC, problem solving, ability to translate the business need into a business solution, great communication, technical skills like familiarity with like SQL, Python, PySpark, Power BI, Tableau is really important
