Job Description
Name: Quality - Quality Control Technician
Location: Devens, MA
Duration: 6 months
100% onsite
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri(normal business hours)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs routine testing and data review of raw materials, in-process, batch release, and/or stability samples of Bulk Drug Substance in a cGMP compliant environment.
• Executes routine procedures based on methodologies and responsibilities of the specific QC sub-team. Assignments are made in the LIMS by the hiring manager, following the applicable curricula map(s).
Knowledge and Skills:
• Required Associate Degree but prefer BS —knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a BS in the physical or life sciences or a related discipline, with 0-3 years of experience.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques such as pH, appearance, volumetric measurement, pipetting, analytical weighing, and basic laboratory safety practices is preferred.
• Attention to detail and solid organizational skills are essential.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity is required.
• Knowledge of basic electronic systems (email, MS Office, etc.) is expected.
Decision Making:
• Associates should be proactive in observing their work area and tools, and are expected to identify and report any discrepancies from standard practice or procedure.
Supervision:
• Incumbents typically receive detailed instructions on routine work and on new assignments.
• This role does not include direct supervision responsibilities.
• There will be daily contact with supervisory staff for work assignments, as well as routine discussions for coaching and general performance management.
• Occasional interactions with other line management staff related to specific projects may also be anticipated.
