Title: (Agile1)Instructional Designer

Job Description

• Partner with Substation and T-Line Engineering to conceptualize training design and content

• Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments

• Complete detailed analysis of existing content and each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems

• Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments

• Create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions

• Write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text appropriate for the target audience

• Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings

• Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation

• Receive and incorporate feedback

• Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables

• Proactively communicate issues and risks

Required Skills

• 3+ years experience developing instructor-led and eLearning courseware

• Strong ILT design skills, openness to feedback, and ability to pivot quickly

• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies

• Very strong Task Analysis knowledge and capability

• Experienced with PowerPoint and Word

• Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed

• Comfortable and capable working on a High Performing Team

Desired Skills

• Experience developing training for utility industry

• Experience with technical writing

• Experience with QuestionMark and Author-it
