Instructors are responsible for promoting industrial safety by:=============================================-Modeling and reinforcing management expectations and engaging students in classrooms and labs to improve the safety culture.-Applying human performance tools and providing coaching to reinforce safety behaviors utilizing the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant (DCPP) Site Standards Handbook.-Including ALARA topics that cover minimizing exposure and contaminations in classroom and lab material and discussions.-Instructors are expected to contribute to organizational effectiveness by: Encouraging and facilitating employee involvement in the training process.-Ensuring that classroom and laboratory housekeeping models management expectations.-Modeling and reinforcing management expectations for the use of human performance tools and techniques to include coaching and acknowledging students when appropriate.-Contributing to the outage performance and duration by holding an outage position (when requested and supported by management).-Obtaining and maintaining instructor qualifications, certifications, and technical proficiency.-Performing management observations; in training settings as well as in the plant.-Performing emergency response organization duties.Qualifications==============Minimum Qualifications-------------------------------5+ years of maintenance experience at DCPP's maintenance or training department OR 5+ years of experience in maintenance or training from another company.
