About the Team: The IT Operations Tools Team owns the full lifecycle of enterprise monitoring, event management, and automation platforms. As part of a major modernization effort, the team is deploying Broadcom Operations Insight (OI) as the enterprise observability and AIOps hub—centralizing events, topology, metrics, alerts, and analytics from diverse toolsets across the organization.
Position Summary:
- We are seeking a self starter, technical expert, and integration-focused specialist to lead the buildout and onboarding of Broadcom OI. This role requires someone who can independently design, build, integrate, and optimize complex data flows from multiple monitoring tools into OI.
- You must be hands-on, decisive, and capable of owning deliverables end to end across the SDLC—from requirements and API integration development to dashboard creation, event normalization, and production deployment.
- If you need “hand-holding,” this is not the role.
- Own integrations into Broadcom Operations Intelligence / Observability (OI) including events, metrics, topology, alarms, and enrichment data.
- Build and optimize ingestion pipelines across REST APIs, webhooks, connectors, and custom integration scripts.
- Develop advanced dashboards, service models, correlation rules, and analytic views within Broadcom OI.
- Implement data normalization, enrichment, and harmonization to ensure consistent event quality and actionable insights.
- Lead the full SDLC for all OI-related enhancements: requirements → design → development → testing → deployment → support.
- Engineer automation workflows to reduce manual effort and improve signal quality.
- Collaborate with SMEs from server, network, cloud, NOC, app teams, and automation teams to onboard new services into OI.
- Manage discovery, onboarding, and metadata alignment across observability tools feeding OI.
- Administer Linux (RHEL) environments and support containerized deployments (Docker / Kubernetes).
- Produce high-quality documentation, integration diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- 5–7 years in enterprise IT operations, monitoring, NOC, or observability engineering.
- Direct experience with Broadcom Operations Insight (event ingestion, dashboards, data models, connectors, analytics).
- Strong background integrating monitoring tools into a central observability/AIOps platform.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data transformation workflows.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PERL) for automation and integration tasks.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure (Windows/Linux/Unix), network concepts, and service topologies.
- Experience working in container-based environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Able to work autonomously and drive tasks to completion without constant direction.
- Strong written communication and documentation discipline.
- Experience with complementary tools integrated into OI, such as:
- Broadcom DX NetOps, Spectrum, UIM, APM
- Grafana
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Dynatrace
- PagerDuty
- Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy and ServiceNow.
- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps methodologies, and automated deployment patterns.
- You are a hands-on integration engineer who thrives in complex, multi-system environments.
- You don’t wait for instructions—you create clarity, build solutions, and drive outcomes.
- You understand observability at an enterprise scale and enjoy the challenge of stitching diverse data sources into a unified OI experience.
- You communicate clearly, execute quickly, document thoroughly, and always think several steps ahead.
- If there’s ambiguity, you eliminate it.
- If there's an issue, you diagnose it.
- If there’s a gap, you fill it.
- This role needs someone who can build, integrate, and deliver—without supervision.
