Job Title: Lab Technician V

Job Description:

Silicon validation & hardware engineering lab technician to support SEG engineers, manage test fixtures & test equipment, conduct equipment calibration, conduct complex PCB rework, set up and maintain lab environments, conduct inventory control of devices & test components, collaborate with other labs, assist shipping between labs, e.g., packing test components & equipment.
 
Experience required:

• Familiarity with hardware engineering labs & maintaining test equipment
• Senior level PCB rework, soldering, IC & electronic discrete rework
• Familiarity with HW lab environment set up, organization, maintenance & safety
• Exposure to standard HW lab chemicals, e.g., soldering flux, isopropanol, flux remover
• Familiarity with electrical and electronic device environments (up to 250VAC, 200A)
• Familiarity with MacOS & Microsoft Windows
• Minimum 4  years in Telecom / IT HW industry
• Familiarity with inventory control and asset management

?Skills Required:

• IC Soldering, blue wire rework
• PCB rework, IC & electronic discrete based rework
• Hand tools, mechanical assembly
• Small power tools, e.g., power screwdriver
• Networking: Ethernet and wireless familiarity a bonus
• Lift up to 30 pounds

 Tasks & Work Environment:

• Test equipment maintenance, distribution, asset management
• Test equipment calibration, FW & SW updates
• Test platform assembly and functional verification
• HW engineering team, HW project, HW lab staff support
• Vendor and Partner coordination, e.g., Foxconn,product teams
• HW test platforms and prototype mechanical assembly
• HW lab facilities and infrastructure support, innovation and planning contribution
• Inventory control – approximately 25% of the time
• Work environment management: organization and maintenance
• General lab administrative assistance
• MacOS and Windows PC workstation 50 – 50 lab environments
• Packing and shipping test devices to partner labs
