We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Test Technician to join our team in the SF Bay Area. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development, validation, and testing of autonomous robotic platforms at both system and component levels.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting hardware systems and is passionate about improving reliability by identifying and analyzing system failures.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Test Technician to join our team in the SF Bay Area. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development, validation, and testing of autonomous robotic platforms at both system and component levels.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting hardware systems and is passionate about improving reliability by identifying and analyzing system failures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to execute reliability and validation tests and document findings to support root cause analysis.
- Work with various hardware components including electronics, sensors, actuators, and structural systems.
- Develop and maintain detailed test procedures and documentation for repeatability and future reference.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient test lab environment.
- Provide continuous feedback to engineering teams to improve test specifications, hardware design, and system reliability.
- Support testing activities at external test labs and field testing sites when required.
- Assist in system integration and validation of robotic platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, robotics, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of schematics and datasheets, with the ability to interpret them accurately.
- Experience operating environmental test chambers, vibration tables, and mechanical load frames.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, and cable management in lab or workshop environments.
- Proficiency with lab tools and equipment, including:
- Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems
- Sensors and measurement instruments
- 3D printers
- Power tools and shop machinery
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar for navigating and making minor design edits.
- Experience working with Linux systems for robotic testing and integration.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite and support field testing activities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on lab, shop, or warehouse environment
