High Level Description
The Optimization Coordinator supports the Optimization Specialist in the Repeatable Facilities leadership team by assisting in identifying improvement opportunities, coordinating initiatives, and helping implement optimization strategies across program and portfolio activities. This role focuses on analysis, documentation, facilitation support, and tracking of initiatives to enhance cost predictability, schedule adherence, internal efficiency, safety, quality, and overall value delivery.

The Optimization Coordinator supports the Optimization Specialist in the Repeatable Facilities leadership team by assisting in identifying improvement opportunities, coordinating initiatives, and helping implement optimization strategies across program and portfolio activities. This role focuses on analysis, documentation, facilitation support, and tracking of initiatives to enhance cost predictability, schedule adherence, internal efficiency, safety, quality, and overall value delivery.
- Support identification and analysis of program and portfolio challenges, process gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies using data-driven and lean approaches.
- Assist in developing and tracking optimization initiatives across the program lifecycle to improve cost predictability, schedule adherence, efficiency, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
- Coordinate implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including tracking lessons learned and maintaining standardized documentation and tools.
- Prepare analysis, dashboards, and performance reports (KPIs, strategic objectives, initiatives) for review by the Optimization Specialist and leadership team.
- Support alignment of major initiatives across Facilities Program Manager teams by coordinating meetings, documenting outcomes, and tracking action items.
- Assist in ensuring Business Unit priorities are reflected in program plans through monitoring, reporting, and follow-up.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with internal sponsors and key stakeholders, escalating strategic or critical issues as required.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for presentations, leadership updates, and cross-functional planning activities.
- Repeatable Facilities portfolio spanning 3 Manager teams with approximately $400MM in annual spend.
- Decisions and recommendations have the potential to significantly impact project schedules, costs, and quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
- Understanding when to escalate information if progress on tasks or assignments is better or worse than expected (no surprises). Able to convey technical messages in a way other stakeholders are able to understand and operationalize.
- Removing barriers and supporting securing resources to function effectively.
- Work with peers on complex issues, initiatives or assignments.
Required
- 7 - 10 years of experience in process improvement, optimization and program coordination.
- Foundational knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, or operational optimization practices.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and present clear insights.
- Proficient in reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, dashboards, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Project Management experience would be an asset.
