Job Description

Job Title: Business Information Management Specialist II
Location: Toronto?, ON - Hybrid (min. 2 days per week) 
Duration: 7 Months (possible extension and conversion into FTE)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours

Travel Required: no

STORY BEHIND THE NEED:
Reason for request/why opened: backfilling and immediate business need
Scope of Project: multiple areas to support- engagement communication and training.
Team Size/Culture: 7 plus 3 new hires, 10 total.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
1- Sharepoint hub- rehaul and make more user friendly and accessible.
Needs to be streamlined
2- Writing communications, putting a story together. Will utilize co-pilot. Help to streamline and do comms. Ideal candidate would bring their fresh perspectives. Will also do reporting, Power BI dashboards.
3- Supporting data literacy – ensure that training is fit and execute on it.

Description:
Business information mgmt:
• You are a strategic thinker and decisive operator who pivots quickly to evolving priorities while sustaining clarity, momentum, and stakeholder confidence
• Build strong relationships across Business Segments and Corporate Functions to support data governance and management objectives.
• Strong strategic planning and execution discipline; able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; simplifies complexity and influences outcomes.
• Familiarity with data governance and enterprise change management practices.
• Excellent technical proficiency with collaboration and content tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI, Teams).
Preferred Skills
• Experience in financial services/banking.
• Strong team collaboration
• Proven expertise in expectation setting and stakeholder management across shared services/multi-team environments.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines under pressure.
• Experience leading internal town halls, enterprise events, or community forums.
• Training execution planning

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:
1.) Reporting Experience
2.) Power BI/ AI tools to support business needs.
3.) Strong communication skills- ability to put a story together and experience with comms
4) Strategic thinking skills
4) Flexibility- ability to pivot based on business needs and tasks to be completed.
5) Relationship mgmt- ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.

NICE-TO-HAVE
1.) Certifications – Change Mgmt, Power BI
2.) Collibra experience
3.) Exp working in an FI
4) Experience with data governance
5) Enterprise exp

Interview process: 2 rounds, Virtual or In person

CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS:
Degree/Level of Education: University Degree is ideal.
Certifications Required: Nothing required, any Power BI, MS, Change mgmt would be an asset but not required.
Years of Overall Experience: 5 years is ideal
Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background: Someone well versed Power BI, AI tools. Assist with reporting, streamline processes.
Data Background would be ideal.
Business acumen, experience working in another FI would be beneficial.
Someone who is a strong communicator and strong interpersonal skills.
Team collaboration and work in a very fast paced environment.
Things are constantly changing and need to be able pivot.
Data Governance and control background would be beneficial. Enterprise experience would be strong beneficial.
