Title: QC Receiver
Location: Acton, MA 01720
Duration: 6 Months
JOB DESCRIPTION
5 days/week onsite in Acton,MA
Quality Receiver plays an integral role in Insulet’s Quality Department by taking a hands-on role related to post market investigations of FDA approved medical devices. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams to accomplish both departmental and company goals.
Responsibilities:
· Perform receipt and unpacking of returned product in a safe manner
· Maintained a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by consistently performing post-activity clean-up and adhering to safety and quality protocols.
· Perform moderately complex tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Provide cross-functional support by quickly adapting to shifting priorities and assigned duties, ensuring operational efficiency across lab functions.
· Ensure accurate and timely data entry while maintaining high standards of productivity.
· Review Lot Acceptance records and DHRs to ensure quality and compliance of returned products.
· Generate, review and maintain quality records in alignment with the Quality System, e.g., training, internal audits, and other QMS activities.
· Participate in Internal Quality Audits and assist in audit readiness as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent work experience
· Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in receiving, material handling, or inspection roles within quality-focused environments, demonstrating a strong foundation in operational and compliance standards.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
· Prior experience working in a regulated industry (medical device) and/or experience working in a biohazard/lab environment.
· Computer proficiency in MS office (specifically Excel); experience creating and analyzing charts and Pareto charts a plus.
· Ability to organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
· Excels at generating and maintaining organized accurate records.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Effective verbal and communication skills
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
· Sitting 50%, Standing 50%
· Frequent lifting <5lbs
· Occasional (<10% of time) handling (push/pull) up to 50lbs
· Ability to operate basic hand tools
