Job Overview:
We are seeking a Professional Services Consultant/ Smart Factory Production Monitoring Engineer with a background in Automation / Controls Engineering and MES implementations. This role involves leading customer implementations of production monitoring solutions and connecting factory machines to monitoring platforms.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, machine connectivity, industrial networking, and manufacturing processes, and will work directly with customers during system deployments to ensure accurate and reliable production data collection.
 
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of production monitoring solutions for new customers and act as the primary point of contact during deployments.
• Work closely with customer operations, engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and define implementation plans.
• Design and implement machine connectivity solutions to capture real-time production data from manufacturing equipment.
• Determine what production data should be collected and how it should be transmitted into the monitoring system.
• Develop and modify PLC programs to enable machine communication and data capture.
• Perform tag mapping and signal mapping between PLCs and monitoring platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP.
• Set up and support industrial networking and data collection architectures for reliable data transmission.
• Validate system performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve implementation standards, hardware strategies, and deployment best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation to support successful system implementation.
