Travel Required: 10–20% of time – Domestic US

Why is this position open?
  • RL Retail is establishing a 1st Party Retail function within Client, expanding beyond existing 3rd party retail (e.g., Best Buy). As Meta opens more brick-and-mortar stores, this new function requires an additional Project Manager to support Alex with project execution, long-term planning, and strategy.

About the Team:
  • The 1P Retail team at Client is responsible for launching and managing the groundbreaking Meta Lab stores, creating immersive experiences that bring our products to life. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team at the intersection of technology and retail, dedicated to building the future of in-person connection with our brand.
 
The Role:
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our 1P Retail Operations + Technology team. This is a key executional role responsible for the hands-on management and delivery of complex projects that shape the operational and technological backbone of our retail stores.
  • The ideal candidate is an exceptional operator who excels at breaking down complex initiatives into manageable tasks and driving them to completion in a fast-paced environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver cross-functional initiatives and projects through all stages of the lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
  • Serve as a conduit between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical details into clear, understandable language and action plans.
  • Break down complex issues into manageable components, employing systematic approaches to execute solutions.
  • Receive directional guidance where required, and proactively exercise best judgment to select effective techniques to implement and evaluate outcomes.
  • Thrive in environments of ambiguity and velocity, maintaining clear focus and a path to execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Retail Operations, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems and Product, Retail Design and Implementation, Retail Finance, and Product Management to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive the implementation and development of retail systems, including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demo technologies.
  • Curate and present project status, risks, and progress from working teams to leadership.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) consumer electronics retailer, manufacturer, technology, or premium hospitality company.
  • Proven competence and experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or in-house tools) and general productivity software (Microsoft, Apple, GSuite).
  • Deep experience with the implementation and development of retail systems (POS, ERP, CRM, AV, Demo).
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar advanced project/portfolio management certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI in daily work to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
 
Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) consumer electronics retailer, manufacturer, technology, or premium hospitality company
 
Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) consumer electronics retailer (Sony Sonos, electrical retail - premium retail experience selling different brands), manufacturer, technology, or premium hospitality company (Hilton / Marriott ultra luxury brands - Waldorf Astoria. Independent or niche hoteliers).
  • Proven competence and experience with project management tools (JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or in-house tools) and general productivity software (Microsoft, Apple, GSuite).
  • Deep experience with the implementation and development of retail systems (POS, ERP, CRM, AV, Demo).
 
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Working with a tech company preferred
