Position Title: Material Handler I 2nd shift
Work Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: Shift 2nd 1:30pm - 10pm Mon - Fri
Work Arrangement: Onsite (implied — shipping/receiving physical role)
Position Summary:
Material Handler
Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
• Examines, stocks and distributes materials to inventory and manufacturing lines.
• May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with a moderate degree of supervision.
Qualification & Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalency
• 1 year of work experience
• English proficiency required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel).
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive, and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May operate forklift.
• Physical shipping/receiving work within warehouse/manufacturing environment.
