Job Description

Job Title: Data Analyst III
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote (Candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones only)


Description:
  • For this contractor assignment, as a Senior Data Analyst III on this team, the contractor will assist in advancing analytical insights that support business decision making and operational efficiency. The contractor will work closely with internal customers and DevOps partners to translate business needs into meaningful data analysis, reporting, and visualizations.
  • This role operates at an enterprise level, focusing on evaluating programs, analyzing data, and assessing technologies to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. This Manager and team are looking for someone who is passionate about working behind the scenes with complex data and systems that keep the business running.
  • The position is not customer-facing; instead, it involves gathering data from multiple sources, examining backend processes, and determining how they impact the customer experience. The goal is to help the team enhance system performance and efficiency.
Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
  • In lieu of a degree- Five years business experience with two years prior analysis experience.
  • In lieu of experience, candidate should have a Master's degree
Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and pragmatic data solutions, reporting, and visualizations that enable leaders and teams to better understand trends, performance, and opportunities.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain reporting and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake. Clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities to support data modeling, validation, and quality checks and ensure accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries and data extracts to support recurring and ad-hoc analysis needs.
  • Assist with data refreshes, enhancements, and issue resolutions. Collaborate across team and support multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Top must-have skills / Candidate Requirements:
  • Expert in developing reports and dashboards using Tableau visualization skills
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data
  • Ability to define business problems, analyze data, and present clear conclusions and recommendations

Preferred skills:
  • Experience working with Power BI, Snowflake, Kafka, DBT, and enterprise data pipelines
  • Experience working with data from DevOps platforms (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira)
  • Working knowledge of Splunk or similar logging/monitoring tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, charts, graphs and macros)
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Lean environments
