Summary:
The main function of a technical community manager is to maintain and improve the overall health of the community, with a firm focus on providing technical and educational support.

Summary:
The main function of a technical community manager is to maintain and improve the overall health of the community, with a firm focus on providing technical and educational support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with creators and share knowledge in how to design and build compelling worlds and games through documentation, playtesting, feedback and open discussion
- Help to maintain and grow a healthy and engaged community, sharing important messages, answering questions, trouble-shooting problems, and moderating/managing potential conflict
- Providing technical and educational support to the Horizon creation community
- Working with the community to identify, triage, and report bugs and other issues
- Monitor and moderate community activity in all channels
- Work with events managers to promote community relations
- Opportunity to get involved in livestreams, online and real-life events
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a community management role
- Experience with making 2D and 3D games using typescript and 3D assets
- Experienced in working with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Basic understanding in growth and community engagement.
- Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, or related field preferred.
Must-Have Skills:
- Previous UGC games experience – they would understand 3D content and scripting
- LLM and prompt engineering familiarity
- Community Management/Engagement Experience
- Verbal and written communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Enthusiasm for UGC games and game development education
- Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods
