Job Title: Contract Analyst – Market Access Trade
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Mettawa, IL 60045
Position Accountability/Scope:
The individual is responsible for supporting the TPS team with contracting efforts, ensuring timely and accurate contract implementation. The individual is an experienced individual contributor and is expected to assume full accountability for areas of responsibility with only minimal supervision and technical guidance. The individual must be able to act independently and demonstrate sound business judgment within the scope of defined guidelines. This position will report to the Program Manager, Trade Program Solutions.
Primary Job Function:
Primary responsibility for this position is supporting the objectives of the Trade Program Solutions (“TPS”) team by facilitating the creation, negotiation, and maintenance of specialty pharmacy contracts, including Master Services Agreements, Distributor Services Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Statements of Work (“SOWs”). The individual will frequently interact with Market Access Trade Marketing, Legal, OEC, and other Market Access contract stakeholders. The individual will build strong business relationships while serving as a contract subject matter expert/liaison for all internal and external stakeholders. This includes helping to identify, establish, develop, and maintain appropriate administrative processes to maintain compliance with all Client, Market Access, and TPS contracting policies and programs. The individual will work independently with minimal supervision. Adherence to OEC policies and procedures, including periodic training modules and certifications is required.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Supporting contracting requests, including preparing templated contracts and amendments, including term extensions.
2. Developing and negotiating contract language, in accordance with Client’s policies and procedures, to enable Client to secure long-term agreements with external customers.
3. Ensuring the accurate management of Client contracts across platforms, including the Shared Drive, SmartSheets and Pramata.
4. Facilitating the distribution of letters and notices to customers in support of contractual and legal notice requirements such as Demand Planning program termination notices and PFS Rule FMV attestation requirements.
5. Researching issues, addressing inquiries, and providing necessary support to TPS Program Managers related to SOWs, SOW invoices and purchase orders, following such requests to conclusion, and communicating results accordingly.
6. Interacting continuously with Market Access Trade Marketing, Account Executives, OEC, Government Pricing, Legal, Pharmacovigilance and specialty pharmacies as needed.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Basic Qualifications: 5+ Years of progressive contracting and finance/accounting experience.
The candidate must also possess the following skill sets:
1. Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and planning skills.
2. Robust attention to detail in the creation of documentation.
3. Ability to review and identify data and document discrepancies.
4. Extensive interpersonal skills to include excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong personal computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, Adobe, and SmartSheets. Pramata experience is a plus.
6. The ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities and due dates, often with shifting priorities, under tight time constraints.
7. Highly motivated self-starter, who can translate broad directions into high quality analytical output.
8. Ability to gather data from a variety of sources to use in document and report preparation.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree is required; BA/BS in a business discipline is preferred.
