Location: San Diego, CA, 92130
Duration: 08+ Months (Potential Extension)

This position description intends to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. It is not intended to include all duties & responsibilities. The order in which the duties & responsibilities are listed is not significant.
 
Position Summary The Facilities Technician will provide support services for the San Diego site location. Computerized systems will be utilized to oversee routine maintenance, security systems and space planning. Daily interaction with other professionals to improve facility operations, reduce incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of the building, systems and personnel is required. Position is required to perform routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment or facility repairs. This person will work closely with the site's Facility manager to coordinate prioritized workflow
 
 
Primary Responsibilities

Performs a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the interior/exterior areas of the property including, but not limited to, painting, drywall repairs, structural elements, including plumbing repairs, clearing drain stoppages, interior and exterior lighting including lamp, fuse and ballast replacement in a timely manner
Coordination and timely execution of facilities work order requests for internal customers while maintaining an organized and clean workspace
Maintains the appropriate inventories of supplies and parts associated with facilities work requests and related systems’ documentation, equipment and tools
Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and schedules repairs to the mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and plumbing systems, as well as any structural elements within the premises
Coordinates site escort of contractors and vendors. Schedules and monitors the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors and vendors x An on-call responder for alarm calls
Participate in cross-functional training of the technical staff x Actively participates in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs
Drafts, reviews and updates facilities Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as assigned
Assists other departments with setup for corporate events, company meetings which may include tables, chairs and displays
Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment. Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices
Understands the consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job
Performs other related functions delegated or assigned

Must possess a clean & valid CA driver's license
  • Must possess computer skills including, file management, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; etc., in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee requires the ability to lift and relocate with cart up to 50 pounds as needed.
•    Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or document management in a corporate setting preferred.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint); experience with CRM or contract management systems (e.g., Agiloft, Coupa, DocuSign) is a plus.
•    Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
•    Professional communication skills and customer service mindset.
•    Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. related field preferred.Key Competencies:

Education:     
  • Minimum Education, Experience and Skills
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience performing some carpentry, drywall, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and painting functions
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred
  • Basic knowledge of fire suppression systems and fire protection alarm systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
  • Must be available to work "on call"
  • Ability to work days, evenings,
