Job Description
Location:Holtsville, NY- Onsite
Duration: 3 Months
1st shift: 8 am - 5 pm.
Job Summary: The Electronics Technician will apply electrical and electronic theory under the direction of engineering staff to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components and circuitry. The role supports engineering evaluation and assists in engineering design decisions.
Responsibilities:

Design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components and systems

Perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies

Support control panel construction and mobile radio systems

Assist engineering teams with product evaluation and technical support

Follow established test procedures and document results accurately

Must understand standard electronics testing using common electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers, and thermocouples.

Must be capable of printed circuit board (PCB) rework and soldering, including 0201 chip components, and assembly and disassembly of Zebra products.

Must be capable of electrical/RF testing, following test plans, providing test reports, and supporting the client as needed.

0–3 years of engineering/technical experience

Background as Electronics Technician, Radio Manufacturing (MFG), or similar field
-
Final training as Electronics Technician, Communications Technician, or equivalent

Experience with mobile radio technology or related systems

Experience with control panel construction or similar assemblies

Associate’s degree or technical school certification (preferred)
