Location: Saint-Laurent, QC
Duration: 4+ Months
Shift: Please ensure candidates are available for ALL shifts
Anticipated shift is night, but candidates must be open to other shifts based on availability:
Night (22:45 to 06:55, Sunday to Friday)
Evening (14:45 to 22:55, Monday to Friday)
Day (06:45 to 14:55, Monday to Friday)
 
Job Summary:
  • Must ensure compliance with quality standards by following GMP regulations, corporate policies, and compliance standards during operations.
  • Ensures quality compliance by implementing and maintaining GMP regulations and corporate policies and conformity standards throughout operations where applicable.
  • In accordance with established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging instructions, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety and environmental prevention measures, and the business procedures/processes at Montreal site, the main responsibilities of the warehouse operator include: receiving, preparing, and supplying raw materials, components, bulk and finished products, as well as ensuring their distribution.
  • Tasks also include all cleaning, receiving, sampling, handling of components, bulk and raw materials, and distribution duties.
 
Major Responsibilities:
All tasks are performed according to established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and health, safety, and environmental protection measures, as well as site business processes.
 
Level 1
(The Level 1 operator will perform a combination of the following tasks)
  1. Operating material handling equipment (Walkie, Gerber, Counterbalanced, Dock Stocker)
  2. Pallet reversal
  3. Pallet washing
  4. Maintenance and care of work tools and equipment
  5. Unpacking and cleaning of equipment
  6. Handling of goods
  7. Material labeling
  8. Material packing and pallet packing
  9. Verification and identification of equipment
  10. Physical inventory counts
  11. Delivery of goods (pallet movement)
  12. Truck loading and unloading
  13. Truck inspection and verification
  14. Waste and recycling movement
  15. Printing weight sheets
  16. Manual documentation
  17. Basic computer transactions (including VL31N)
  18. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
  19. Training colleagues
  20. Participation in team committees if required (e.g., HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects, job evaluation)
  21. Training follow-up tasks (updating curricula, associating modules, updating procedures)
Level 2
(May perform Level 1 tasks occasionally)
(The Level 2 operator will perform a combination of the following tasks)
  1. Operating turret forklifts for standard or push-back pallet racking
  2. Order assembly (Export, Packaging, Bulk, Raw Materials, MRPO, Subcontractors)
  3. Confirming receipt of goods in the system (MIGO)
  4. Shipment confirmation in the system
  5. Inventory management
  6. Managing batch status
  7. Ordering non-inventory equipment
  8. Pharmaceutical waste management and transactions
  9. Return merchandise management
  10. External warehouse management
  11. Gas and chemical management
  12. Shelf-pack label printing
  13. Cycle count reconciliation
  14. Complex computer transactions and data entry
  15. Material sampling
  16. Verifying equipment and instruments are suitable and within calibration
  17. Verifying acceptance criteria and comparing results to established limits
  18. Stopping activities and notifying management in case of issues
  19. Quality verification and documentation during sampling
  20. Performing basic analyses during sampling
  21. Training colleagues
  22. Participation in team committees if required
  23. Training follow-up tasks
Level 3
(May perform Level 1 and 2 tasks occasionally)
  1. Coordination of receiving and shipping subcontractor orders
  2. Priority management and execution follow-up
  3. Coordination of colleague schedules and vacations
  4. Task observations
  5. Order verification and approval
  6. Inventory control (packaging, shipping, supplies)
  7. Reporting and documentation
  8. Inventory adjustments and discrepancy investigations
  9. Traceability for destruction records
  10. Coordination of cycle counts
  11. Management of internal and subcontractor orders
  12. Coordination of forklift fleet and operator training
  13. Implementation and follow-up of forklift inspections
  14. Participation in performance evaluations
  15. Team mobilization
  16. Facilitator and team resource
  17. Support to achieve operational objectives
  18. Work and resource coordination
  19. Problem anticipation and resolution
  20. Close collaboration with supervisors

Diploma / Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful theoretical and practical forklift operator training
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Knowledge of GMP (asset)
  • 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related field (asset)
  • Mechanical and computer skills
