Title: Immigration Specialist
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Role Mandate:
We are currently seeking a qualified Immigration Specialist to assist us with navigating the complexities of the immigration process. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of US immigration laws, procedures, and requirements and will be able to provide expert guidance on visa applications, green card processes, and citizenship options. In addition, the ability to support Canadian immigration questions, provide support and manage a compliant practice will be needed. We value experience in working with a variety of clients, thorough knowledge of immigration laws and experience handling various immigration cases. The Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our immigration applications are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner, helping us achieve our immigration goals efficiently and effectively.

The Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our immigration applications are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner, helping us achieve our immigration goals efficiently and effectively.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Acts as a trusted advisor to clients on the immigration process.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Acts as the day-to-day subject matter expert for US Immigration matters.
- Prepares and submits immigration applications and provides supporting documentation.
- Develops strategies to address and resolve immigration issues.
- Maintain client files and records.
- Communicate with the relevant stakeholders to track application status.
- Knowledge of US immigration laws and regulations and ensuring company’s adherence to them.
- Maintain Client's immigration processes and documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness (internal and U.S.C.I.S.)
- Supports day to day operational processes, program management activities & administrative tasks to achieve business results and deliver the intended employee experience.
- Develops operational solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provides advice and guidance to stakeholders on implementation of solutions.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Typically, between 4 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience as an Immigration Specialist or similar role.
- Project management skills – In-depth.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion at all times.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency within immigration law, regulations, and procedures.
