Title: Electrical Engineering Manager – CT Fleet
Location: Tucker, GA
Overview
The Electrical Engineering Manager – CT (combustion turbine) Fleet provides strategic and operational leadership for a team of engineers and technical staff supporting combustion turbine (CT) generation assets across facilities operated or contracted by Client.
This leader is responsible for ensuring day-to-day technical support of the fleet, maintaining plant performance, compliance, and reliability standards, and driving engineering excellence across preventive/predictive maintenance programs and capital project execution. The role requires a strong blend of technical depth, people leadership, outage support experience, and utility-scale reliability knowledge.

This leader is responsible for ensuring day-to-day technical support of the fleet, maintaining plant performance, compliance, and reliability standards, and driving engineering excellence across preventive/predictive maintenance programs and capital project execution. The role requires a strong blend of technical depth, people leadership, outage support experience, and utility-scale reliability knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and technical staff supporting CT fleet assets.
- Provide day-to-day management, performance oversight, and technical direction.
- Ensure adequate site coverage and engineering support across facilities.
- Occasionally provide onsite coverage to support plant engineering needs.
- Drive initiatives to improve fleet reliability, availability, and performance.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance engineering programs.
- Support outage planning and execution across CT facilities.
- Ensure technical rigor in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Provide engineering oversight for development and execution of capital projects.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and system modifications.
- Support modernization initiatives including control system upgrades and major electrical equipment replacements.
- Ensure engineering support aligns with NERC Reliability Standards and related regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical coordination with Electric Reliability Organizations (ERO).
- Coordinate with transmission owners/operators regarding data requests, protection coordination, and system reliability matters.
- Support documentation, audits, and compliance evidence generation.
- Partner with Plant Managers, Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, and Executive Leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term asset strategy planning.
- Contribute to fleet-wide engineering standards and best practices.
Hard Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required).
- 12+ years of experience in power generation or large industrial electrical engineering environments.
- 5+ years of engineering team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong experience with combustion turbine or combined cycle generation assets.
- Demonstrated expertise in low and medium voltage systems (480V – 20kV).
- Working knowledge of generator step-up transformers and transmission interface concepts.
- Experience supporting NERC compliance and reliability standards.
- Proven experience overseeing preventive/predictive maintenance engineering programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Bonus / Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience managing multi-site engineering teams.
- Experience leading large-scale capital projects in a generation environment.
- Level II Thermography or Vibration Certification.
- Experience supporting reliability initiatives across CT fleets.
Education
