The Integrated Discovery and Bioprocess (IDB) group at Client is seeking a highly motivated Purification Chemist to join the Compound Purification Laboratory (CPL) team at the Corteva™ Indianapolis Global Business Center.
The IDB group represents a significant portion of Client R&D innovation engine, working toward sustainable crop protection solutions. This role supports discovery, development, and launch of the crop protection pipeline through purification of small molecules.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering purified compounds in a timely manner while collaborating closely with Discovery Chemistry, Analytical, and Process scientists. A strong background in organic chemistry, compound separation, and timeline-driven environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities & Growth Opportunities
- Design and execute purification methods supporting Discovery Chemistry, Discovery Process Sciences, and Analytical R&D
- Understand project objectives and adapt experimental workflows as needed
- Collaborate at the interface of organic chemistry and analytical sciences to optimize purification workflows
- Operate and troubleshoot analytical and preparative instruments, including:
- Normal and reverse phase LC
- SFC and flash chromatography
- UV, ELSD, and MS detectors
- Gilson, Waters, and Teledyne ISCO purification systems

- Ability to independently execute small molecule separations and interpret data

Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Chemistry or related discipline
- B.S. with 3+ years industrial experience in separation/purification sciences OR
- M.S. in Organic Chemistry preferred
- Demonstrated experience in separations method development, sample preparation, and analysis
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting:
- Normal and reverse phase LC
- Gilson and Teledyne ISCO purification systems
- SFC and flash chromatography with UV/ELSD/MS detectors
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong scientific creativity, analytical thinking, and customer focus
- Excellent written, verbal, and prioritization skills
