Job Title: IT Operations Analyst IV – Network Operations (Tier 1 Support)
Location and Work Model: Toronto, ON, 100% Onsite
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm ET & 7pm–7am ET), 7 days a week / 24 hours coverage
Duration: 1 Year (Extension Possible)
Department Overview:
The Operations Support Group (Network Operations) is a 24/7 dual-site service department responsible for ensuring the availability of the client Group’s mission-critical network infrastructure. The team provides frontline support, reacts to anomalies using monitoring tools, and works in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
Role Summary:
The IT Operations Analyst IV is a senior-level network operations role responsible for supporting the client's network infrastructure, including LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, wireless, firewall, load balancer, and optical solutions. This is primarily a Tier 1 / 1.5 support role, handling less complex to semi-complex issues, with involvement in resolving complex incidents when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily deliverables during your shift under guidance from the NOC Shift Leader.

Provide high-quality technical support while following NOC processes and procedures, including automation usage, proper remediation, and documentation.

Engage in high-priority incidents (P2) and coordinate with L2/L3 teams, vendors, and internal support groups.

Prioritize, triage, and manage incidents based on criticality and shared services.

Assist with incident, change, and problem management processes.

Document MoPs, how-to guides, and peer review documentation for new and junior team members.

Identify process gaps, training needs, and automation opportunities; communicate these to leadership.

Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and maintain effective communication with team members.

Support network troubleshooting and break/fix activities.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:

CCNP (R&S) with minimum 3 years of network troubleshooting experience, OR CCNA with minimum 5 years experience in Network Operations/Production environment.

Hands-on experience with Cisco routing & switching.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; experience with network analyst responsibilities.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like SevOne, Infoblox, ExtraHop, ThousandEyes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
