Job Description

Job Title: Data Management Analyst
Location: Fully on-site in Mississauga, ON
Duration: 6 months
Reports To: Global MDM Manager


About the Role
We are currently looking for a Data Management Analyst who will support master data accuracy, setup, and maintenance. This role ensures data integrity across all business applications, including the ERP system. The ideal candidate will utilize their analytical skills to handle and execute business data requirements effectively. You must understand the value of data integrity to the entire organization, including information lifecycle management, information modeling, master data management, and business requirements gathering.

When You Join our client, You Will Be:
Conducting Analysis:
  • Execute master data setup and configuration in various ERP systems and other applications.
  • Coordinate master data requests using workflow tools and central mailboxes to ensure data quality meets established standards and service level expectations.
  • Partner with internal and external customers to ensure data processes and procedures are followed and completed.
  • Analyze business requests for compliance and accuracy before data entry and completion.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve master data discrepancies.
  • Review and improve master data request guidelines to help current processes become more effective.
  • Provide master data support to all business departments as needed.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Global Master Data Manager when required.
Data Continuity and Process Improvement
  • Monitor the overall health of the data and execute cleansing efforts for all master data.
  • Identify data and process opportunities through audits, metrics, and trends to evaluate, re-design, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Work under general supervision to independently solve moderately complex issues, while escalating highly complex issues to management.
  • Utilize an understanding of end-to-end business processes to provide data management and integrity expertise.
  • Meet current service level agreements established with the business.
  • Complete daily and weekly data integrity tasks.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support
  • Apply data audit and validation methods and procedures to ensure data quality.
  • Participate in and support internal projects requiring data analysis.
  • Apply business analysis while gathering requirements to assist with various in-house projects related to workflow process improvements and other projects impacting master data.
  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (Business, IT, MDM) to understand requirements and provide analytical inputs.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in master data management.
  • Intermediate proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, alongside advanced Excel features (such as pivot tables) to analyze and interpret business data.
  • Previous experience working with JDE or other ERP systems.
  • Previous work experience in data governance or a similar role, including experience with data governance tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings clearly.
  • University degree or College diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
