Job Title: Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure & Systems
Location: Richmond, VA

 Position Summary
The Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure & Systems is a strategic technology leader responsible for aligning enterprise IT infrastructure and systems architecture with business strategy and organizational objectives. This role designs and governs enterprise-wide technology roadmaps, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions across cloud, network, application, desktop, and infrastructure domains.
The Enterprise Architect partners closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams to translate business needs into enterprise technology strategies and architectural standards.Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Architecture Strategy
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks aligned with organizational strategy.
• Define long-term infrastructure and systems roadmaps.
• Establish architectural standards, principles, and governance processes.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
• Lead enterprise-level design across cloud computing, hybrid environments, and infrastructure modernization.
• Provide architectural oversight for mobile computing and IoT initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable, secure solutions.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems and infrastructure platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with executive leadership and business units to understand strategic priorities.
• Translate complex business requirements into enterprise architecture designs.
• Collaborate across application, network, desktop, and infrastructure teams.
• Guide technical teams in architecture best practices and solution governance.
• Architecture Governance & Process Improvement
• Utilize architectural tools and frameworks (TOGAF and related methodologies).
• Improve internal software architecture processes and documentation standards.
• Lead architecture review boards and design governance sessions.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and scalability standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of IT architecture experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in a senior or lead architect role.
• TOGAF certification (required).
• Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-level infrastructure strategies.

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCD)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• ITIL 4 Master
