• Training Period: Onsite in Herndon, VA (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)
• Post-Training: Remote
• Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST

 
Job Summary
Client is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer V with strong expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, and enterprise router platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and hands-on experience supporting large-scale network infrastructures.
 
Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in networking.
• Strong IP networking fundamentals and advanced knowledge of IP protocols.
• In-depth experience with routing protocols:
  • BGP
  • OSPF
• Hands-on experience with Cisco router platforms:
  • 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx series
  • Associated supervisory and line cards
• Strong network analysis and troubleshooting expertise.

 
Preferred Technical Expertise
Experience with multiple of the following technologies and protocols:

• DWDM
• T1/DS1, DS3
• SONET (OC3, OC48)
• IEEE 802.2/3
• 802.1d (VLANs/STP)
• IPv4 & IPv6
• TCP (internals & flow control)
• HSRP / GLBP
• PIMv2
• IGMP
• LDP
• TACACS
• IPSEC & VPNs
• NetFlow
• DNS
