Job Description

Role: Merchant Support Specialist I
Location: Remote
 
Overview: Join the Client's Online Ordering team, dedicated to simplifying operations for hospitality businesses through an innovative platform. As a Merchant Support Specialist I, you will be the first line of defense for merchant, customer, partner, and internal post-sales escalations, ensuring exceptional service and support.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical troubleshooting cases to diagnose and remediate failure points
  • Address merchant issues with empathy and urgency, ensuring every interaction is a learning opportunity
  • Support merchants using the ordering platform by identifying and troubleshooting a wide range of issues
  • Develop deep expertise in the product suite, processes, systems, and tools
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Support to provide seamless service
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of work experience in a related role in technology, hospitality, or customer support
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Experience in de-escalation tactics and call management
  • High emotional intelligence and great communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Toast, Square, POS Providers, Google Suite, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce
