Position Title: Material Handler
Work Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: Shift 1, 5:30am – 2:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Summary:
Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.

Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items when necessary.

Lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and operate a forklift if required.

Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, including posting weights and shipping charges.

Prepare goods for final shipment.

Examine, stock, and distribute materials to inventory and manufacturing lines.

Prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

Work within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods under moderate supervision.
This role blends physical tasks (lifting, moving, operating machinery) with administrative duties (record keeping, documentation, inventory management). It’s essentially about ensuring the smooth flow of materials in and out of the facility while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least 1 year of work experience.

Language: English proficiency (to ensure and promote safety requirements and procedures for machinery).

Physical ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
