Title: Specialist, Strategic Financial Evaluations
Location: North York, Ontario- Hybrid (Mon, Tue, Thu in office)
Duration: 5+ months

Location: North York, Ontario- Hybrid (Mon, Tue, Thu in office)
Duration: 5+ months
Role Overview:
- Lead the development, review, and ongoing maintenance of robust financial models for new projects and initiatives. Ensure all analyses are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements. Collaborate across teams to support project approvals, regulatory filings, and strategic planning.
- Build and maintain integrated financial models, incorporating standardized metrics and all relevant tax, financing, accounting, legal, and regulatory factors.
- Be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of investment evaluations.
- Support the GDS and Corporate project approval process, providing expert guidance to business units.
- Prepare materials for regulatory filings, including evidence, schedules, and studies for rate and facilities applications or hearings.
- Communicate outcomes and collaborate in strategic and tactical planning with team members and across departments.
- Conduct post-investment reviews, comparing actual results to approved economics.
- Research and analyze industry trends and best practices in financial modeling.
- University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Engineering (MBA, CFA, CPA, B. Comm, or similar preferred) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in business valuations and/or capital investment analysis through discounted cash flow modeling.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and strong understanding of accounting, tax, and finance principles.
- Exceptional communication, business acumen, interpersonal, persuasion, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in a rate-regulated industry.
