Job Title: Grocery GM Merchant Pod, Project Specialist Role
Duration: 6 months Assignment
Location: Remote


Summary:
The Grocery General Management team’s Merchant Pod focuses on ensuring grocers on client are set up for success and deliver a best-in-class customer experience with store pages that are pristine and accurate.
This role will support grocery-wide catalog quality efforts by systematically auditing catalogs, diagnosing accuracy issues, executing fixes, and helping build scalable playbooks to improve quality over time.
This role will report directly to manager and partner closely with cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Key) Primary: Support broad executional catalog quality efforts, manage intake of independent projects, and drive quality improvements across key grocery merchants and business lines.
This includes analyzing catalogs, diagnosing catalog issues, prioritizing fixes, and executing remediation workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Lead coordination of a special project to support client’s in-store operations and fulfillment quality.
Organize and execute merchant audits and testing efforts across a large group of regional merchants, both in person and in partnership with Dashers.
Validate in-store findings against merchant data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and operational issues.
Maintain detailed tracking of progress, results, and follow-ups using spreadsheets and internal tools.
Partner cross-functionally (e.g., operations, integrations) to support how merchant data is reviewed and enabled once accurate.
Surface trends, risks, and recurring issues impacting merchant operations and fulfillment quality.
Secondary: Create and iterate playbooks and write retros to scale repeatable fixes and improve processes over time. Tertiary: Provide performance readouts on quality improvements and help shape lightweight tests to measure effectiveness and impact.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Google Sheets / Excel - proficient; able to manipulate data, recognize data discrepancies, and report trends
SQL - basic understanding; able to read and manipulate queries to pull and analyze data used for prioritization and diagnostics (can learn on job)
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Project Management - able to manage multiple merchant audits and an ongoing intake of work in parallel
Operational Rigor - comfortable with daily executional workflows and follow-through
Cross-Functional Collaboration - experience working with ops, product, or similar teams and sharing results clearly E-commerce
Familiarity - understanding of what a high-quality storefront and customer experience should look like 2-3 years of Experience

EXAMPLE PROJECTS / DAY IN THE LIFE
Weekly cadence: Manage and prioritize an ongoing intake of catalog quality projects with the manager.
Share progress updates, findings, and learnings with cross-functional partners
Daily cadence: Audit grocery catalogs, diagnose quality issues using data and tools, execute fixes or coordinate remediation, validate improvements and document learnings Example projects (typically 1–2 week turnarounds): Conducting systematic catalog audits across grocery merchants and executing SKU cleanup while building and iterating catalog quality playbooks
