Job Description

Location: Jayuya, PR
Pay Rate: $10.78 / Hourly

Job Purpose:
Performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce medical devices products such as IV bags. Assure that all operations are in compliance with all Company standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Fastens parts together.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.Inspect each part assuring that the product has zero defects.
  • Displeased the finish product in the appropriate box and stock them until the material handler comes.
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
  • Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis as requested.
  • Lifts heavy objects ( 5 lbs. through 25 lbs. approximately) by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area.
  • Occasionally work at other shifts when its required.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Must be able to keep the work area in the cleanest and order conditions.
  • Team worked oriented.
  • Other related duties with the position may be assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS
    • Ability to read a limited number of two and three digit numbers.
    • Must recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
    • Ability to compose and speak simple sentences.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING SKILL: Ability to apply common sense to understand and carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
  • CERTIFICATIONS, TRAINING, MEMBERSHIPS AND LICENSES: Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and other training, certifications, licenses and memberships that the immediate supervisor refers.
  • COMPANY REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Observe and promote company safety, industrial hygiene, GMPs, procedures and other safety measures already established by the company; any violation must be reported.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: For the performance of this task, the employee is required to be frequently seated. The employee is also required to occasionally walk. The employee is required to frequently lift or move about 10 to 50 pounds.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. Frequently is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, toxic, or chemicals. The employee is sometimes exposed to vibrations. The noise level in the work area is usually high.
  • SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND/OR EQUIPMENT: The incumbent must use the appropriate equipment in any area of the company to comply with Company policies and internal and external regulations (safety shoes, uniform, safety glasses, gloves, ear protectors), helmet, safety suit, etc.).
