Position Title: Senior Internal Communications Lead
Work Location: Cambridge, MA 02142 - Hybrid
Assignment Duration: 6 Months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Position Summary:
- Own the development & implementation of the Global Procurement Communications Strategy
- Lead and support the creation, preparation, and consolidation of C-level (TET & BRC) presentation and materials
- Lead delivery of operational communications around Global Procurement projects and initiatives such as internal articles, videos, digital signage, regional hub coordination, SharePoint presence, Viva Engage etc
Key Responsibilities:
- Build upon the internal and external communications strategy for Global Procurement. This will include a standardization of the Global Procurement intranet site pages and the planning and execution of regularly scheduled communications such as Procurement Pulse (the quarterly Global Procurement newsletter, a twice-monthly Updates & Resources memo and a monthly Viva Engage summary of pertinent news, updates and resources.
- Provide communications counsel, content and strategies to [Global Procurement LT], for [our] communications with internal audiences (C-Suite/TET, Peers/TET-1, Global Procurement) and external audiences (industry associations, C-Suite of top suppliers and government officials)
- Prepare content for external speaking engagements
- Manage the full lifecycle of Global Procurement Town Halls, from planning through post-event follow-up.
- Develop and track communicatoins metrics to measure engagement and effectiveness across channels
- Design and maintain welcome materials for new Global Procurement employees while expanding existing new hire communications (welcome email broadcast and Viva post) to ensure a consistent and engaging onboaridng experience.
- Support the communication onboarding of the Chief Procurement Officer by crafting introductory messaging, developing leadership narratives, coordinating key stakeholder introductions and aligning messaging across channels to ensure a strong and consistent leadership presence
- Drive increased use of AI tools to enhance communication efficiency, content creation and employee engagement
Qualification & Experience:
- Strong communications and change management skills
- Trusted partner to the business (stakeholder management)
- Blend of strategic and operational expertise and experience
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional writing and PowerPoint communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of Communications experience required; preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry communications environment
- A strong eye for detail, with solid strategic, analytical and planning skills, as well as a creative approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrix environment
- A creative thinker with a track record of coming up with new ways to engage internal stakeholders
- Comfortable with change. Ability and willingness to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
- A pragmatic and flexible approach to time management given calls/meetings may take place in different time-zones to your own
- Ability to deliver in high-pressure situations and with short deadlines
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office
- Global travel as needed, averaging 10% and up to 30% at times of peak activity.
