Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler - Level 3
Duration: 10+ Months
Location: St. Louis, MO
Work schedule: M- Th, 6 AM – 4:30 PM
 
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Material Handler supports the manufacturing and packaging departments by transporting raw materials and tableted products. This role also assists with manufacturing operations such as filling blending dump stations, pre-weighing intermediate containers, screening stearate products, and completing other assigned duties to support plant operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality and compliance in accordance with established Quality System procedures and standards.
  • Comply with and actively support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies; report safety incidents, near misses, property damage, and hazards immediately; participate in quarterly safety audits as directed.
  • Transport raw materials and finished tablet bins to support manufacturing and packaging operations; stage, issue, clean, and return bins as required.
  • Fill blending dump stations and pre-weigh intermediate bulk containers as needed.
  • Operate material handling equipment including stand-up and sit-down lift trucks, work savers, and man lifts; support and train associates on proper equipment use.
  • Perform SAP transactions including material requests, transfer orders, confirmations, and handling unit assignments; follow daily production schedules and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support production line performance by assisting with line changeovers, including equipment cleaning, disassembly, reassembly, bin washing, and equipment movement.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping work orders to sustain departmental performance.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, supporting Right First-Time results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform general cleaning in GMP areas, properly maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, and operate cleaning tools such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, buffers, and pneumatic tools.
  • Assist with maintenance and operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment as needed.
  • Support cross-functional teams and contribute to high-performance team initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required to maintain operational efficiency, while complying with all safety, environmental, quality, and training requirements.
