Job title: Operations Analyst
Location: New York City, NY - Hybrid
Duration: 5 months , High Possibility of extension and conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)
Story Behind the Need
Business group: GWO US Operations Management
Project: SEC US Treasury Clearing
This role is to primarily support a materially important regulatory change within the US Treasury trading landscape. The SEC have finalized a rule to mandate the central clearing of certain US Treasury activity. As a Primary Dealer, has stood up a project to ensure compliance with the rule. This position will assist the New York Securities Settlements team, as a stakeholder in overarching US Treasury Clearing project.
Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Capital Markets business units and there is a high chance of this turning into a full time position.
Typical Day in Role:
• As an integral part of the project team, you will be:
o Attending project meetings
o Helping gather and document project requirements
o Assisting in test case design
o Assisting in IST and UAT
o Working with stakeholders from operations, the business lines, compliance and legal, and our project governance team
o Potentially attending industry sessions/updates
o Project implementation
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years of experience in Operations
2) 3+ years of experience with Fed Eligible Settlements
3) 3+ years of experience with IMPACT, ADP, and/or BNY Treasury Edge
4) Previous experience in settlements operational related project (testing/managing)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) previous experience in a Fed treasury settlement role
Soft Skills Required:
• Be able to work in a fast paced and group-oriented environment
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate would have previous experience within Fed Treasury Settlements
