Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Salesforce

Role Overview
The DevOps Engineer will be part of the Client Technology Services (CTS) and Sales, Services & Marketing Technology (SSMT) team, supporting Clients representative-facing technologies. This is an individual contributor role responsible for building, managing, and overseeing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce platforms.
The role works closely with Salesforce platform teams, DevOps engineers, Product Owners, leadership, and cross-functional technology groups to plan, coordinate, and execute reliable software releases in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage application release schedules, ad-hoc projects, and infrastructure initiatives across multiple environments and scrum teams

Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce applications

Automate Salesforce releases and deployment processes to improve efficiency and delivery speed

Protect sandbox and production environments by applying strong controls, ensuring availability and security compliance

Coordinate dependencies across multiple development teams and integrated systems

Communicate deployment plans, risks, and status clearly to all stakeholders throughout the release lifecycle

Support release triage activities, including occasional evening support as neede
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in an enterprise software delivery environment

5+ years managing release pipelines for complex, mission-critical applications

Strong expertise with CI/CD tools in cloud environments (GitHub, GitHub Actions; Copado is a plus)

Experience with branching strategies, code reviews, and release governance

Hands-on experience documenting and improving CI/CD processes and best practices

Knowledge of data masking techniques to protect sensitive Salesforce data

Understanding of advanced release strategies (deployments, tagging, versioning, automation)

Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation

Proficiency with Salesforce CLI for managing metadata and scratch orgs

Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Remedy

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Platform Developer

Strong ownership mindset with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction

Proven ability to collaborate with Developers, Release Management, Production teams, and leadership
