Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on ML Engineer with expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and agentic AI systems. This role is part of our growing R&D and Applied AI team and focuses on designing, building, and maintaining next-generation AI solutions for enterprise spend management and risk monitoring.

The ideal candidate is research-oriented and technically strong, capable of reading ML/AI research papers, adapting new model architectures, and implementing them in production. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-moving AI landscape, able to onboard quickly (1–2 months), and collaborate across R&D, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy ML/LLM models for production, including NLP, computer vision, and multimodal VLM.
• Implement RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP.
• Develop prompt engineering, optimization, and safety techniques for agentic AI interactions.
• Integrate memory, evidence packs, and explainability modules into AI pipelines.
• Collaborate on data pipelines, feature engineering, embeddings, and batch/real-time processing.
• Evaluate emerging ML/AI research, prototype new architectures, and translate prototypes into production-ready components.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote ML engineering best practices.

Hard Requirements / Must-Have Skills

• Programming & ML Frameworks: Python proficiency; hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face Transformers.
• LLM & Generative AI: Experience with LLMs/SLMs (fine-tuning, inference optimization) and agentic AI frameworks; hands-on with at least two ecosystems: OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta LLaMA.
• Data & Scale: Ability to work with structured and unstructured data at scale; familiarity with vector databases and embeddings.
• Model Research & Implementation: Comfortable reading ML research papers and adapting architectures for production.
• Domain Focus: NLP and multimodal VLM (computer vision + language); traditional ML alone is insufficient.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Databricks ML) for training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field; 3+ years building and deploying ML/LLM solutions in production.
• Work Style: Quick onboarding, research-driven, highly technical, and able to operate in fast-evolving AI environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic frameworks (AutoGen, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP).
• Knowledge of AI safety, guardrails, and explainability techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD for ML (MLOps), monitoring, and observability.
• Background in anomaly detection, fraud/risk modeling, or behavioral analytics.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in applied research.
