Java Backend Engineer
Westlake, TX (Hybrid – Alternate two weeks onsite per month like 1 week onsite/ 1 week remote)

• 1^st Interview: 30 minutes
• 2^nd Interview: 90 minutes (Final)

• Spring Boot – Microservices
• AWS

NICE to have skills: Python, Angular
 
Required Experience and Skillsets

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong skills with Java 8+, Web application frameworks such as Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Strong experience with CI/CD practices and working in shared DevOps model
• Experience in DevOps practices and tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Argo CD, Terraform, AWS DevOps, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience in developing & deploying apps in containerized environment with Docker Files and Kubernetes deployment
• Familiarity with AWS Toolsets, including but not limited to SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis, CloudFormation
• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and documenting customer facing RESTful APIs
• Demonstrable ability to read high-level business requirements and drive clarifying questions.
• Demonstrable ability to engage in self-paced continuous learning to upskill, with the collaboration of engineering leaders.
• Demonstrable ability to manage your own time and prioritize how you spend your time most effectively.
• Strong skills with the full lifecycle of development, from analysis to installed into production.

The Team:

• Team is looking for solution-based engineers with a passion for developing easy-to-use, customer focused and capabilities which power client’s web and mobile experience platforms.
• The team builds systems to modernize Mainframe capabilities that support client’s large scale digital presence. You will help us craft and develop re-usable Java applications that focus on customer experience needs and optimize quality and deployment practices.
• We work closely with our business, operations, and systems partners to enable new business capabilities, respond to regulatory changes, modernize technology solutions, and address the complex needs of our customers. You’ll chip in to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, multi-functional team.
• You will have the opportunity to share your technical knowledge to help strengthen our engineering community and further pursue your own learning of new technologies and skills.
