Location: San Juan, PR
Pay Rate: $13.40 / Hourly
Summary:
Serve as main contact with medical insurance plans to get pre-authorizations, letters of accord, etc. for Medical Devices Divisions’ implants/product sales.

Pay Rate: $13.40 / Hourly
Summary:
Serve as main contact with medical insurance plans to get pre-authorizations, letters of accord, etc. for Medical Devices Divisions’ implants/product sales.
Responsibilities:
- Make/receives telephone calls with medical plans and Abbott Sales Representatives
- Uses computerized systems (preferably, Inmediata (SecureTrak, SecureClaims, SecureEMR, etc), SAP, Salesforce, Excel, Outllok) to gather information and confirm sales prompted by incoming calls.
- Answer inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products/services.
- Get all the documentation required for medical insurance claims/submissions.
- Process implant authorizations with medical insurance agencies and hospitals.
- Complete the forms 1500 and related documentation to bill the medical insurance agencies, directly.
- Make sure that forms completed have the appropriate HCPCS, procedures, and product codes per billing standards.
- Prepare quotations and develop contract negotiations with medical insurance agencies as participant provider.
- Visit customers for claim status and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
- Support Credit & Collection’s request for information.
- Help busines unit to organize and manage congresses, courses, and events.
- Provide documentation for both compliance and budget approvals for such activities.
- Associate degree completed, preferred in Medical Billing and/or 2+ years of related experience.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong logical, analytical skills and independent judgment
- Effective problem solving.
- Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license. The position requires to drive own motor vehicle.
