Oakland, CA-(Hybrid 3 days onsite in a week)
12 months+ Contract

****Local Candidates Only**** – Must be realistically able to commute to and from OGO 3-days a week.
The role is Hybrid, Monday and Friday Remote. Tues, Weds, Thurs in OGO 8-5pm


**EQUIPMENT: Expect this position to require a client’s Laptop. Interim solution for major delays will be to use Virtual Desktop on their own device device. Other than the laptop, in office work, additional equipment will be provided a fully configured workstation. For days that are remote work at home workstation will be worker’s responsibility.

Top Skills:
  • Agile Coach experience
  • Experience rolling-out large scaled SAFE methodology, Agile/Scrum & Waterfall experience on IT Project, preferably SAP or Oracle.
Key responsibilities:
The Propel Program Management Office (PMO) Agile Coach is responsible for a wide range of activities around:
  • Providing team-level coaching to multiple Scrum Teams while working with 2-3 other Scrum Coaches
  • Assists in the professional growth and development of Scrum Masters (approx. 10 in total)
  • Assists in the recruitment and onboarding of future Agile Scrum Master positions
  • Assists in building coaching skills in Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Architects Education
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and (Technical) Competencies:
  • Understanding of Agile values and principles
  • Ability to advise teams on Agile best practices
  • Ability to provide teaching, coaching and mentoring
  • Basic understanding of client’s business, and IT strategies and objectives
  • Ability to function in an open collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with and influence leaders
Required skills:
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to keep track of multiple, concurrent tasks which have varying priorities and due dates that are subject to change.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication to large audiences, explain performance variance, ask insightful questions, express opinions, convey different alternatives to aid problem solving sessions. Must be able to develop visual representations of ideas, data variances, trends as needed.
Desired Skills:
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) – terminology, approach, roles & responsibilities.
  • Previous experience with Atlassian Jira, MS ADO, or other Agile Project execution tools
  • Prior large corporation, IT Project or other Program Experience – Understanding the working environment of a large company with multiple departments, request processes, information needs to accomplish Propel’s objectives and in given timeframes.
  • SAP/ERP Implementation Project experience - Understanding Agile and Waterfall methodology within the software lifecycle phase. Familiarity with the various roles, skillsets, and responsibilities of team members and how best to use their talents.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Project, and Jira. Client uses Microsoft Outlook, including extensive use of Calendar, TEAMS Meetings, and document storage using SharePoint.
Additional Software Knowledge Desired:
  • Use of PowerBI and/or PowerApp, MS- SharePoint (or similar document management software)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, from Infrastructure, Coding, Middleware, Interfaces, Configuration settings, User-Interface design concepts.
Work Experience:
  • 2+ years as a Scrum Master, ideally 1+ years as an Agile Coach (not required)
  • 3+ years of experience in large Software programs and/or IT Project experience.
Role: Propel PMO Agile Coach Position January 2026
Client’s “Propel” program is a multi-year major business and IT transformation initiative with the primary objective of moving from SAP’s ECC version to a ‘greenfield, clean-core’ SAP S/4 HANA version for Finance, Human Resources, Environmental Health Safety, Supply Chain, Work & Asset Management. This PMO role will be working collaboratively with leaders and others across the entire Program to forecast, manage, status, and mitigate issues with cost, schedule, resources, methodology and tools supporting several hundred internal and external resources. The Program is now entering its third year and transitioning from enterprise to detail design for the first of four major deployments. It is scheduled to complete in 2031.
