Job Description:
Woot is the original daily deals site, founded in 2004 and acquired by client in 2010. Originally, Woot offered just one product per day until we sold out. Today, we offer special daily deals and other limited-time offers across seven categories on the Woot website, mobile app as well as sell on the client’s platform.
We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to lead customer experience initiatives across our site; they partner closely with product managers, UX/VX designers, and engineering teams to deliver great work for customers. In addition, this person will lead high-impact projects for the UX design team working with other stakeholders within Woot and Amazon. The ideal candidate for the role will have a good sense of customer behavior and understanding of e-commerce, while having a deep understanding on both visual and UX design systems and best and proven practices. You bring the ability to teach and educate other while driving design thinking and directional consensus and have a great sense of humor which ties well to the Woot brand.
Responsibilities

• Create elegant and intuitive user experiences by incorporating user insights, business requirements and technical constraints.
• Help lead the planning and strategic phases of a migration project.
• Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups with detailed visual design specifications for mobile, and web interfaces throughout the design process.
• Independently deliver UX solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Be a champion for user-centered design by partnering with researchers to test your solutions in front of users; and be willing to build lightweight prototype, conduct scrappy and quick user testing on your own if required.
• Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience
• An online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.
• 6+ years of rapid prototyping experience
• 6+ years of experience with design tools including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Axure.
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, user interviews, contextual inquiry) is a strong plus
• Strong visual design skills to complement your UX skill
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
• A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with product and tech partners from inception through implementation.
