The mid-level Product Designer is an experienced individual contributor responsible for designing usable, accessible and engaging user experiences for Clients digital product line.
Role responsibilities include:
• Design usable, accessible and engaging digital experiences for the web and mobile
• Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles
• Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
• Collaborate with business partners and build upon their vision using sound UX principles
• Be an advocate for our users
• Capture requirements, design flows, wireframes, testable prototypes and fully fleshed out designs
• Document your designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended
• Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
o 3-7 years of relevant work experience (Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Human Factors, Design, Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred)
Essential Functions
• Proficiency designing and developing prototypes using Figma or other industry tools
• Proficiency designing high-fidelity mockups using Figma, Sketch or other industry tools
• Subject Matter Expertise in interaction design
• Ability to design layouts that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes, from desktops to mobile devices.
• Knowledge of inclusive design, ensuring products are accessible to users with diverse abilities and disabilities.
• Experience using established design systems to maintain a consistent and cohesive user experience across products or platforms.
• Expertise in building scalable products using reusable, independent components instead of designing entire pages at once.
• Experience working with SCRUM in an Agile environment a plus
• Strong experience in designing B2B enterprise applications (Fintech background is a plus but not required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including thorough and methodical attention to detail
• Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be easily understood in English
• Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences
• Ability to self-manage time and work independently or as part of a team
• An online portfolio that demonstrates outstanding product and ecosystem thinking
