Senior Electrical Engineer
Duration: 11 MonthsLocation: Bellevue WA Hybrid
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the regional lead design engineer, managing a portfolio of electrical infrastructure designs supporting the charging of electric delivery vehicles.

Scope and develop system-level electrical designs for each site to meet cost targets, functional requirements, and engineering standards.

Perform site due diligence to fully assess electrification needs, ensuring correct equipment selection, shipment, and installation.

Translate evolving business requirements into scalable, hardened, and field-tested design solutions while navigating site-specific constraints.

Drive cross-functional alignment on site scope with operations managers, construction project managers, product teams, and utility partners.

Share design best practices and educate partner teams on infrastructure challenges such as subgrade conditions, fire suppression systems, non-standard lots, and other site constraints.
Design & Technical Execution

Create Revit designs using standardized electrical equipment modules while driving established optimization metrics (e.g., equipment utilization, linear feet per module).

Manage 20+ active design projects while maintaining visibility across 40+ projects in design, permitting, and construction phases across multiple geographies.

Resolve complex electrical system challenges beyond standard electrification requirements.

Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal codes and regulations.

Review performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and deployment outcomes.

Partner with commissioning teams to test, validate, and verify installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
Communication & Field Support

Develop clear technical narratives and present trade-off analyses related to infrastructure decisions, timelines, and cost considerations.

Travel to project sites as needed to conduct site reviews and collaborate with field engineers.

Provide engineering evaluations, electrical system audits, and startup support when required.

Collaborate in a team-oriented environment while contributing creative, practical solutions to complex challenges.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

4+ years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical design.

2+ years of experience developing construction and/or permitting design documentation, including plans and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.

Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations, including IBC, NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and Life Safety requirements.

Experience researching and implementing new designs, technologies, and construction methods related to EV infrastructure, including contaminated subgrade or fire suppression systems.

Experience with fast-track design/build projects, large-scale electrical distribution, and complex upgrade initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions that reduce cost without compromising quality, reliability, or maintainability.
