Position Title: Automation Technician – 1st Shift
Work Location: Tucson, AZ 85755
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:

As an Automation Technician, you will support on-time and reliable diagnostics by maintaining and improving automated manufacturing equipment.
Background & Context:
Operations play a critical role in enabling patients to access reliable diagnostic solutions while meeting production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and inspections on automated and semi-automated equipment.

Assemble and disassemble machinery as required.

Provide technical expertise and support to other maintenance technicians.

Support projects involving new equipment and/or processes.

Assist with equipment validations and calibrations.

Monitor equipment performance and identify maintenance or improvement opportunities.

Update PM schedules as needed.

Identify and escalate safety, equipment, and product issues.

Ensure all production-related documentation complies with quality system regulations.

Assist in training new employees and sharing best practices.

Communicate and collaborate with leadership and team members.
Qualification & Experience:

2–3 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing production and test equipment or related machinery.

Strong hands-on mechanical experience.

Aptitude for learning new mechanical processes and providing instruction to others.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to identify improvement opportunities that drive business outcomes.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Regular interaction with automated and semi-automated production equipment.
