Responsibilities:

  • Program parts efficiently using standardized CAM templates within Fusion 360.

  • Load and unload materials, monitor machine status, and initiate production runs at scheduled intervals to meet delivery commitments.

  • Retrieve finished components from machinery and perform required cleaning and post-processing, ensuring critical features are preserved or enhanced.

  • Update the task management platform to keep requesters informed of job status and progress.

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain equipment and ensure the availability of required tools and materials for uninterrupted production.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital design tools (2D or 3D), such as Fusion 360 or other CAD/CAM software.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand diverse customer requirements and adapt approaches accordingly.

  • A genuine passion for creation and fabrication (e.g., artistic work, mechanical tinkering, crafts).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear and concise communication style.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior digital fabrication experience in a prototyping environment, particularly involving CNC machining.

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.

  • Hands-on experience operating CNC machining equipment (hobbyist or commercial).

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Mastercam.

Must Haves:

  • Digital Design Expertise: Proficiency in a range of digital design tools, including CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, with the ability to adapt to new systems and efficiently program parts using templated CAM programs.

  • Client-Focused Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working directly with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Hands-on Maker Mindset: A strong passion for hands-on problem-solving and making things, with a background in activities such as art, tinkering, crafts, or other related pursuits that demonstrate creativity, curiosity, and practical skill.
