Summary:
This position is responsible for providing excellent support to the general accounting division. Undertakes a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help record the company’s transactions. Handles account reconciliations along with the issuing of necessary paperwork.

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing excellent support to the general accounting division. Undertakes a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help record the company’s transactions. Handles account reconciliations along with the issuing of necessary paperwork.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare journal entries and perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain all 606 compliance workbooks on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee all fixed asset responsibilities, including additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform daily monitoring and analysis of income statement accounts to identify variances, trends, and potential issues.
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc accounting reports and financial analyses to support management decision-making.
- Serve as the super user and owner of the Oracle Projects module, responsible for administration, configuration, and ensuring proper usage across the organization.
- Participate in ERP system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Gather data, prepare analyses, and provide documentation for internal and external audits, as well as other accounting projects.
- Follow-up on other department personnel related to documentation needed for accounting procedures.
- Assist the Accounting Supervisor with tasks necessary to maintain accurate and timely financial information, including special projects and process improvements.
- Participates in meetings and orientations.
- Participate in cross training activities.
- Executes any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- The position requires five (5) years of experience in similar position.
- Language skills in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work under indirect supervision.
- Basic arithmetic abilities, including multiplication and division of fractions; calculating prices, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to work independently, organize workload, prioritize, multitask, foresee problems, and accomplish established work plans in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in the use of Excel.
- Ability to adapt easily to change.
- Ability to maintain confidential data.
- Ability to work with a goal-oriented operation.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
