Job Title: System Software Technician III
Duration: 6 months
Location: San Francisco, CA
Job Summary:
The System Software Technician III supports distributed computing and telecommunications network operations to ensure continuous system availability and performance. This role works within a team environment to support computer systems, networks, and end users while maintaining secure and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Support computer systems, workstations, peripheral devices, and network infrastructure

Assist with telecommunications and distributed computing operations

Perform basic programming, documentation, and system testing

Provide user support for software and hardware requirements

Monitor and maintain uninterrupted system availability and performance

Troubleshoot basic network and server issues

Manage and support LAN performance and operations

Follow security policies and best practices to protect data and information systems
Required Knowledge & Skills:

Computer operations, hardware, and software fundamentals

Basic programming, documentation, and testing practices

Networking concepts including transmission, signaling, switching, and routing

LAN performance management and basic network/server troubleshooting

Information systems and network security policies and tools
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical training in computer systems or networking
