Title- Lean Practitioner 4
Location- Everett, WA
Duration- 6 Months
Job Description
Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles. Develops and updates instructional materials. Mentors future instructors and less experienced practitioners. Works with internal or external customers. Leads and facilitates complex process improvement efforts. Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement. Creates enhancements to existing improvement tools. Supports the development and deployment of new tools. Supports business acquisition. Participates in the evaluation process.
Justification
The BCA Core Lean Office needs 2 temporary Lean resources to satisfy a 767 Program request for Lean support for a minimum of 6 months
Job Description:
• Leading and coaching day-to-day implementation of Client Production System (BPS) standard concepts predominantly in manufacturing areas
• Coaching, leading and partnering with manufacturing, functional support, and management on systematic problem-solving activities
• Promoting continuous improvement and problem-solving culture and tools
• Facilitating or coaching facilitation of continuous improvement workshops such as Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, Autonomous Maintenance Workshops, Distribution Kaizens, Table Top, Moonshine, Kamishibai, Point of Use, Leader Standard Work, and Tier Boards
• Leading, facilitating, and project-managing improvement workshops and systematic problem-solving efforts in focus areas
• Supporting more advanced and complex process improvements
• Instructing others in continuous improvement tools and principles using standardized lesson materials. Assists in formatting updated training materials.
• Supporting, coaching and partnering with a team at Senior Manager/Executive level to implement, grow, and sustain the Daily Management structure and cadence
• Participating in strategy development
• Removing roadblocks for teams, while mentoring them to do the same for themselves - teach, inspire and empower
• Assisting less advanced practitioners in proper usage of Lean tools
• Participating in or leading maturity evaluation and assessment activities.
• Reflecting on LMO-internal processes and BPS standards to systematically problem-solve and continuously improve (e.g., Tier Boards, Kamishibai, 5S)
• Work will primarily occur on 1st shift, while occasionally also supporting 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Maintaining individual development plan
Must Haves:
- Lean practitioner experience (open to a level 3 or 4)
- Problem solving skills, negotiation skills
- Presentation skills
- Quick learner comfortable in a fast paced environment
- Basic computer skills: PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel

- Lean 6 sigma
